Did you read that at all?

It will need a complete rebuild.

Comes with an Offenhauser dual plane intake that has had some repair work done and has been drilled and tapped for unknown reasons.

It will need a rebuild and is currently stuck. BOP bellhousing has no cracks but does have one trans mounting bolt broke off from previous owner.

Rods look good but I made the rookie mistake of forgetting to match up the rod caps to the corresponding rod during disassembly because I was in a hurry. Hopefully they can still be matched up or worse case scenario just buy new rods.

run away. run far away. don't look back. you'd be in for way more than $750 by the time you're done here.

It would sell for that here as is with no problem. I consider any unknown used motor a rebuilder. If you can't match the caps the machine shop can, not a big deal. The Offy intake is not a super modern piece but is comparable to most 180 degree high rise in performance below 5000 rpm. Really not a terrible deal.

I was gonna say, thats not really a good deal at all. Your paying $750 for looks and a lump of cast iron.

I prefer to find my used engines in original, crusty, oil soaked, greasy condition. At least there's a better chance that Ricky racer didn't get his paws on it and exercise the backyard skills

I don't know how many BOP 455's I've come across that people are selling in pieces. I think they tear them down and realize what it really costs to have it rebuilt.

I still don't know how much it cost but I am sure my pockets aren't that deep.
