Im having an issue with my cruise control not working on my 86 Cutlass Supreme. I swapped out my 307 for a built 71 Olds 350 and hooked my cruise control back up but it doesnt work, Can anybody tell me which hole the cotter pin goes in on the rod attached to the CC diaphragm and goes to carb throttle arm? Can somebody take a pic of their setup so i can see it? Any additional information on this issue would be greatly appreciated. All my wiring is hooked up correctly and the vaccum hoses that connect to the module and over to my vaccum reservoir ball. Thanks John

any suggestions?

The cotter pin hole you use is not critical. Multiple ones will work fine.

Are you still running the CCC system or did you go old school? If you deleted the CCC system then I'm pretty sure I know what your problem is.

im running old school with a Holley 750 and no Computer at all, all computer related connections and the ECM are still in the car as original, just nothing is hooked up! thanks for your reply. John

Then this is your problem; you need to ground the black w/white tracer wire that comes off the speed buffer. Easiest way to access this wire is under the glovebox area under the dash. You will see a large black double connector with plenty of wires. This connector connects to a big white colored connector that goes ( mostly ) to the ECM . Find the black w/white stripe wire ( this should be pin M ) on the big black connector and ground it. You now owe me a beer  .

excuse my ignorance but im not so much electrically inclined! Can you tell me how to ground it? do i take it out of the connector and put a a U connection on the end of the wire and just screw it to the body of the car or how else? thanks.

A picture would be great.....I had the same issue and grounded the wire behind the speedo cluster. would have done it by the glove box had I known.

how did you ground yours?

How do you ground a wire? Pretty much just take the end of it and attach it to a piece of metal!
