Im curious to know if anybody can tell me if the 81-87 (in particular 1986) g-body cutlasses that were made and werent 442s......if those cars all came pre-wired with the wiring harness having hookups for power seat options. Also, will non reclining bucket seat covers fit a reclining bucket seat without issue, meaning is its just that the seat brackets and backs allow for reclinability or are the material patterns cut different between power and non power bucket seats. Thanks.

If it didn't have a power seat then the wiring is not there.
The wiring lead goes directly to the power distribution block under the dash, it tucked away above the fues block.

Non reclining seat backs will not work on reclining buckets, the lower portion will move with the seat back and bind/break.
Not possible...

pretty sure the seat cover material is swapable, but like he said u cnt swap backs

thats basically what i wanted to know, besides whether all cars were wired or not. I was wondering if i happened to find a set of power buckets, if my non power bucket material would swap over. Then all id need to do is find the wiring harness from a power seat car and mate it to my car.
