i just got my cutty running and as much as i love to hear my motor running i decided to install a radio or should i say a cd player. well i got everything installed, i had to wire a factory harness back into the car since the former owner decided to cut the factory harness off. long story short everything is hooked up and i go to wount the dash kit for the new radio into the actual dash and i figure out that the dash has a plastic frameing and that the screw holes are all busted to hell. wtf is this crap? plastic?? i have only owned regals up till this cutlass and they are metal framed! what do i do now?? i have always thought the regal had the best dash since it was the soft padded dash rather then the hard plastic that cracks really easy but now i have a new reason to support that opinion. i plan to fiberglass the dash in the future but what do i do for the time being? i want the cd player secure in there! why did gm use plastic on the cuttys?!?!!?!?

I'll tell you a little trick to use of the holes are just stripped out. Get some threaded clips that are usually supplied with new speakers, hook them around the hole and screw into them. They are U shaped, so they will normally stay there. I used them to install my dash speakers once and they worked like a charm.
