Cutlass going dead

I tried giving my 84 a tune up with new wires, plugs, battery, belts, and radiator hoses. After running it for a while and driving it, my cutlass wants to go dead, but then she starts right back up. Other times its starts to sputter right before it starts and then it runs smooth. What could be the problem? The previous owner said it hasn't been run in 3 or 4 years.

What do you mean "wants to go dead?" Do you mean go dead like battery goes dead or stalls out?

Bad EGR Valve, replace it and clean the EGR passages.
Had the same problem.

definitely stalling out, battery's good

electronic module or pick up coil in distributor ......

if ,stalls and start 5 minutes later .....

Got a new problem...

Now my cutlass stalls out at about 25-30mph, or it dies if I step on the gas. If i drive it under 25mph, it seems to runs very good and it sounds great at idle and i can rev the 307 as much as i want without it stalling out. Some people said I might have some kind of a vacuum leak or maybe my fuel lines of fuel filter is clogged. But I have no idea...
