looks pretty solid. Need more pictures cuz cars always look to good in pics. I doubt hes taking 310 for the car unless it says so and i didnt see it. That price is just where the bid is at right now.

It's ebay, not craigslist. It's at $510 now and the reserve is not met. I bet the reserve is north of $1500. Plus, it's in NJ.

definitely need more pics on this one, especially being a NJ car. the rust has gotten to be taken hold of the car. id want pics of the under carriage, under the doors, rear wheel wells, rear frame, basically under neath the entire car. if i saw good pics of those areas i would stop bidding at $1500

Just a fyi the only cars in jersey that are bad are from the shore. I have a 86 ttop Grand national been a jersey car all its life not one once of rust. My wagon is a jersey car now i would say 1lb of rust on that one damn floors. Seeing how i have bought alot of cars from all over jersey 2 out of the 20+ gbodies I have own where in bad shape. Now i would stay away from most cars from upstate PA and NY bought a few parts cars from there that barely made it home in one peice.

Anyway i would bet this car goes for 1500 easy. In NJ people are getting 1500 for cars that look like they been rolled down a mountain.

Yea based on what we can see & know $1,500 about right. Just like a 442 haha. No 8.5 rear! No HD sway bars, springs, quick ratio steering, no vin 9 motor or KZ code transmission with better parts and higher shift points and stronger higher stall converter. Probably no ralley guage pack or bucket seat no 15x7 wheels what do a lot of people think the 442 was just a Olds cosmetic make over?

Thanks everyone, i didn't know how ebay worked I have never used it or bought anything from it.
Also he says no rust at all, But the pictures are very close and hes not showing the front or rear so i wont hold my breath or bid on it.
Also considering hes from Nj and I am in ky I don't want to buy it, drive it here and not make it home.
But i sincerely appreciate all your opinions, I like the car but cant take a chance on it.

David what's the deal here? You say you're dirt poor and have very limited mechanical aptitude and now you're thinking about going out and buying another cheap butchered up project car? Does that really sound like a good idea to you?

What you really need to do is buy the chassis and electrical service manuals for your car. IMO, the absolute best thing for you personnaly ( but not necessarily the most practical so I can see it not being an option for you ) would be to sell your current car and then buy a new one that hasn't been modified in any way. That way you can learn how to work on your car by refering to your manuals. Later on down the road when you know what you're doing, you can do some mods to your car to make it better.

P.S. You really didn't know ebay was an auction site?

he probably doesnt want to learn electrical stuff - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I had the 79MC with a truck motor bored .030 over also and someone stole it out the shop on me. I wouldn't worry about this car making it to your house, the truck motor car I had was very stupid, and I didnt have any problems with the motor.
The tubes to the radiator didnt even have clamps and were duct taped at first, one of the spark plugs didnt work, my coolant container was wide open up top, there was no air filter, I started with a rochester 350 carb, the exhaust was completely rotted out and the 3rd day I owned the car I actually ripped it off the car with no tools ( replaced it right away with dual exhaust )

I drove the car 85 miles to my house with no issues as described above. That motor will run unless its like -15 degrees outside there is no other reason why that motor wont run. Even w/ spark plugs in bad shape all I had to do was keep the throttle in a little at stop signs (while hold the brake).

I also own 88 Cutlass brougham white w/ a black top and creme interior. I love the car and spent $1,000 on it with the 307. I would love to own this car from the auction instead. I replaced my headliner black, and also used black in a few other spots of the interior but it doesnt look right. My steering wheel is really loose and needs replaced, but it's a really gay steering wheel like the worst one that could come w/ a Cutlass. That steering wheel in this car here is so much better and more what I wish I would have bought with the black interior looking really swell too. And now that I actually own the Cutlass, the cloth top lost its appeal really fast and I dont like it anymore. Wish I had bought the same exact car as in this auction instead of the Brougham, and I was totally thinking of removing the .030 over truck motor from the 79mc before it was stolen - and xfer it to my Cutlass. Great find! hope somebody buys the car and posts it up

That's what I am planning on doing is selling mine getting the manuals and buying something that is in great condition and ready to roll with no huge expenses.
No I was thinking of buying without getting money from my car if I ever sell it.
I am poor and could never imagine even buying a 100 dollar car without having my wife yell at me and me be in a huge hole I cannot get out of.

I appreciate your concern, I wasn't going to buy this because I have no money was just seeing if I sell mine would this be a good car?

But No i honestly thought it was kinda like craigslist but with more truthful and serious people, i guess you would say.
