Cutlass Regal console capability

I know the regal and cutlass console are the same length but can you swap the console top/lids? I have a broken cutlass console and seen a few regal consoles for sale. Looking to see if piecing a cutlass console is an option with the two.

The lower half is the same, just need to open up the wire through hole.

Thanks for the info but I'm not following the wiring through hole instruction. Shifter hole? So top part of cutlass console falls right in place?

I have the rubber top part with the shifter plate and its a spare.

the actual console bucket is pretty trashed, and I don't have the lid.
