Hello,
I am new here and I own a Cutlass Supreme 84 V6.
Got a damage on the side of my car (motorbike slided into it, not too bad but visible) so I am reviewing possibilities for new paint.
Do you think that a "2012 Ford Grabber Blue" could look nice on the car?
or is it an heresy?

Re: Cutlass Supreme 84

I am also thinking about painting all the chrome parts in black...
Not sure if I should do it, I cannot grasp clearly how it would look like...

The blue should look fine. Ur wanting to paint the lower chrome moldings black? I think that's asking for disaster...paint peel off city. IMO if u don't like the moldings, take them off and sell them and paint the bottom of the car black.

Re: Cutlass Supreme 84

I do not have the chrome at the bottom (I will post some pics tomorrow to show my car). i was thinking of the window molding, molding around the wheel, front grill etc
But the more I think about it the less i find the idea appealing.
Also you said that the color would be "fine" which means not great... maybe I shall stay w/ the factory color...
I am worried that the "blue grabber" color will be too irrelevant for a Cutlass and too harsh compare to the molding and plastic parts of my car, too much of a contrast...
The blue grabber looks great on the Mustang but how would it translate on a 84 Cutlass...

Yes, you're right. A darker blue, like the originals came out with would look much better IMO. it does look good on the Mustang tho.

Re: Cutlass Supreme 84
