Stock as opposed to my lincoln which has a ton of suspension goodies the Olds handles like a station wagon. Understeer/Over steer , wallowing , sloppy steering response.

After I have a better idea as to what my tire size will be (ride height) I was wondering what my options are. A friend said go with a Hotchkis kit which includes everything you need. Than again Eibach springs or at least the set I saw were $3K. Truth betold I'm not suspension savvy.

Ideas?

The Hotchkis swaybars are $350, Lowering Springs $295 and boxed rear control arms are $515. You can order through summit racing, I think they now sell them as a package and you can save a few bucks. I have purchased them but not installed yet.

20 years ago I had a 78 cutlass and 81 regal that I put Rancho Sway Bars Springs and Gas Shocks. The sat about 1 - 2 inches lower than stock and handled great, considering I was still running crappy 14" tires. I don't think Rancho makes the stuff for cars anymore as I have not seen them advertized in years. The ride and Handling was really night and day difference.
