cutlass trans question.

Ok ive got a 86 442. It has a sbc350 with a 700r4... im wanting to go to a 3speed trans but im having trouble figuring out and getting a straight anwser aboit what the previous owner did to get to 700 in it and what would i need to do to to run a 3 speed

Aslo what was the factory trans with the 307... th200r4

It would've had a 200r4 from factory. to go to a 3 spd, you will want to get a crossmember and driveshaft out of a 78-87 cutlass that had the 3 spd trans(th-200/th-200c. with this, a th-350 (3 spd) transmission will go right in 🙂

preferably find this stuff off a console car, then get the shifter, the shifter indicator, and shifter cable!


if you need a 3 spd shifter top plate/indicator, i've got one I'd sell fairly cheap
