I am also having a major major problem, So My wife actually washed my pants with my title in the pocket so now its in pieces so now I have no way of transferring it over into my name or tagging it, I was wondering if I should be freaking out as much as I am over this or if its a easy simply cheap fix.

I am in desperate need of the answer cause I am going in just the next couple days to switch everything over.

Thanks in advance.

You've been having quite a time with this car and bad luck....WOW! You need to go to the DMV and see what's required to apply for a new title. The only problem is that it was never in your name and I don't know what hoops you're going to have to jump through or whether the previous owner needs to be contacted.

For future reference it's always a good idea to transfer the title immediately. What if the previous owner sees the work done to the car and says he never sold it to you? You'd be out of everything you've invested. I wish I could tell you exactly what you need to do but the process probably varies state to state.

nice car!...keep up the good work! As long as the vin is correct for that year, make and model, the bill of sale should be enough to get a new title. Good luck!

I know right I was thinking the same, This is the worst and most unpredictable few months of my life haha.
But Okay were going to the dmv Wednesday, The guy whose name it is originally in has a salon he said he loved the style so much he found another.
But hes a very nice guy so he said he would help with anything I have.
So I hope he will help now I have been giving him updates on the car for as long as I have had it.
So far hes been a huge help to me and been very kind.

Yeah when she washed it, There are big pieces and got so lucky you can still see where it says title number and all the numbers, Vin number and all those numbers so if I had to see good out of all this that would be the good, I hope they understand and can help me finally get this in my name.

Thank you.

I have found out some new and interesting things.
the car is all original I am the 3rd owner.
Not much new things but still something cool to know.

I am going tomorrow to get the new title and getting everything in my name, its going great again and I feel amazing knowing everything will be done and ready for riding.
