my passenger window motor crapped out on me last week... whats the easiest way to get to it? the only way i can think of is to just take a hole saw to the little dimples in the door skin. any tips or tricks would be appreciated

Use something to keep the window from fallin down in the door and drill out the rivet heads and take the window motor out. You might can take the window motor apart and clean up the innards and it might work again. That's what I did to mine.

thanks i was afraid you were gonna say drill the rivets haha oh well. my dad got a new motor from his buddy so its all good just gotta stick it in 🙂

There are a couple things I would try first before you remove your window motor if you have not done so already.
The contacts on the actual window switch corrode over time but they are easy to clean once you get them out and pull them apart.
Also a lot of times the motor looses it's ground from corrosion, you can sometimes add a ground wire directly to the motor on one of the bolts and run it through to a good chassis ground and it will work again.
The good thing about if you do replace the motor they are usually much faster than your worn out original.
