mobile, al
the torque spec in my repair manual says 65 ft-lbs, but my gasket kit says re-torque heads to 100 ft-lbs after initial start-up and break in.
so do i torque to 65 now then 100 or torque to 100 now and re-torque to 100 later

what gaskets? is there anything else in the instructions?
i'd say do a 3 stage torque to 65-70, then warm up the engine and do 100, then recheck when cold. but this is a WAG based on only the present info.

That seems like an awful high torque setting :| I would do some more research or something, or get new gaskets. That just doesn't seem like a safe number to be pushing those heads bolts to :?
