Dash Insert

I have been trying to figure out what to do with the only thing on the malibu I hate - the nasty looking speedometer and lack of gauges, so I was reading over on MR.com and found a guy making dash inserts

This is what the come shipped to you like

and this is what one guy there did with his

So gauges are ordered and waiting for them to come to figure out the configuration I am going to use.

thats going to look sweet! i like the simple setup like they have with the black. how much did it cost?

$65 shipped for the standard long sweep and I think he get 80 or 85 for the round ralley gauge setup

Very cool I'll stay tuned on this. I beleive on the sweep style clusters you can fit a tach, speedo, and 4 accessory gauges inside. I know I saw a picture of it somewhere... That is what I originally wanted to do, but found a mint Monte dash, one thing led to another.... And now Dakota Digital dash will be installed sooner than later

Does anyone know of a place that sells GP dash inserts like that? I cant find any but its probly because there so huge!

Thats nice looking -- I almost ordered all digital gauges, but went the analog route to stay with the old school look.

The grand prix you just mount normal gauges from the back side.Or Dakota Digital will do custom work just gotta send them your cluster first.

I think il just take some thin sheet metal and make my own. I dont want digital and cant find GP inserts anywhere 🙁
