Dash lights?

Did a search but no luck-
I'd like to brighten up the dash on my 86 GP. Is it just a matter of getting behind the gauges and replacing the bulbs with brighter ones? Maybe LED?

I brightened up the instrument lights on both my Century & Cutlass wagons by simply replacing the old bulbs with new OEM ones - they get a bit dimmer over time.
