dash pad caps

so, i'm having a hard time finding a good dash for a price that i would LIKE to pay.
i keep coming across these dash pad caps on fleabay...
anyone use one? are they worth any consideration?
i'm certainly not in a pinch, and i don't mind waiting for the right dash to come along, i just want to know if i have options other than finding a pretty cheap dash.
