Well it finally gave up. Was hoping to get to 250k. I'm assuming it jumped time. I'm mostly just venting that the new timing set runs $335, and that you are supposed to pull the head off to change it, wtf! So its off to the junk, sorry 85CB, lol. By the way 85CB I think I remember you were saying something about trying to use the cupholders out of one of these sentras, if so PM me your address if you need one and I will try to send it to you, no charge. Here's some pics.

It was a decent route car, but its days are over. Sadly I'm now driving a ford on the route

Sad to see it die. I know what you mean about the timing sets as I considered doing it to my Frontier. In the end, I figured that it just wasn't worth it to spend all that money on an engine with 333,000 miles. I would be better served replacing it with a good used one should it ever fail . The GA16DE in the Sentra is like a 7/8 scale version of the KA24DE used in my pickup.

As for the cupholders, I would take them but I am looking to sell my Cutlass this spring and won't be needing them. It's a long story that involves me selling off my house, truck and cars to move home and go back to school full time. It's been posted in another thread, but the short version is that I have come to the conclusion that as long as I have distractions I will never finish school. So, I will buy a new economy car with a warranty to drive, and keep my tools and some electronics then move back home. When I am done, I can buy another house and have a more stable career. Right now, the stress is killing me as I barely eek by and can't really concentrate on anything but survival. This makes it hard to work on school work, or even sleep. So, I need to fix it by starting fresh. It sucks, but life right now is unbearable with the weird hours, low income and the constant stress of multiple projects hanging over me that I can in no way afford to finish. Hopefully, the future holds more promise than the present, and I can build another project in the future. Right now though, all it is is a burden.

Ya I've read about you're situation. Been there before and still haven't clawed my way out yet. I geuss I need to find a spot in the bu to mount them 😀
