Hello everyone i need someones opinion on if i have a defective tv cable or not. I instaslled a 2004R from monster transmission and everything worked out great except my shifts are what they call stacked shifting, when i adjust the tv cable correctly to my specs it keeps getiing slack in it in other words it has no tension when it when i open it to WOT im very clueless right now i think i need a new TV cable

I would contact the trans company you bought it from, not sure if it relates but i knkw you have to upgrade a cable when you upgrade a.clutch on a stick maybe you need a stronger cable probally not to factory specs anymore either.

I just had problems with mine but the actuator arm was broken so mine had no tension. Had to go to the trans shop to find that out. As far as I have read up on these trannys, there is only one way to set them and you shouldn't adjust from there because you risk damaging the transmission.http://www.tvmadeez.com/article/index.php

Its an automatic, and im about to have a sh*t fit the cable line supposed to have tension in it not slack and the cable dosent retract when i pull the excess wire, the cable must be defective

how did you adjust the cable?

Im adjusting it when its at WOT but then when its suppose to self adjust i keep loosing the tension and wind up with a slack cable. 😢
