The Democrats want to make it so that if your company's employees want a vote on a union, you would not be able to vote in private. Your vote would be public, and open you up to intimidation. Union officials would be allowed to come to your house to "discuss" the issue, thus opening you up to intimidation if you should choose to vote against them. This stinks so bad that even George McGovern has come out against it! There is a clear conflict of interest here too, as unions always support Democratic candidates, and forcing workers to unionize means it forces workers to pay to support a political party that may not be in line with their politics. Once again, this proves that the Democrats want nothing to do with democracy, and instead wish to use whatever means necessary to impose their will on the people.

I really don't know what to say other than the truth here.
Both parties suck and have there own personal agenda's instead of what good for the country and people as a whole.
But unions are no longer a good thing, so having to vote into the open really doesn't bother me.
Unions today drive costs of running a company sky high compared to a non union company doing the same type work. I know, I'm in one of those non union companies and even quit a UAW job once I found out how much manipulation they had and how it effects the final cost of a product. I was also BORED to death because in the union we were not allowed to produce goods at a rate that kept you busy.
What needs to happen to companies and the government, which won't because their buddies are both in congress and running these companies is to trim heavily middle management.

I'll do it again.
During the 60's and 70's a event was taking place and if you could some how afford college you skirted being drafted for Vietnam. 100's of 1000's of individuals took this loophole and played it for all its worth. The amount of degrees for things that never existed before flourished. Once Vietnam was over all these toilet paper holders needed jobs and having a toilet paper degree earned them the right to forgo doing any real work that might involve them getting dirty and that in itself along with being a graduate alumnist created all the mid level we have now. Were now producing and pushing this issue to a point that were a service sector society and those added positions cost money and it reflects in our product prices even though without most of them the product would still be made and the same quality levels etc.

They would not be successful in pressuring me to join a union, but I imagine they would be able to intimidate plenty of people into doing so with these tactics. The loss of privacy is what concerns me. I actually look forward to having some union schmuck come to my house so I can argue with them. I love to argue. I would make them leave in tears, which would make my day. However, most people are not like me, most would rather not have to deal with it and if signing that piece of paper would make the problem go away, they would do it.

I usually never talk politics or religion on a site and sites should really never allow this stuff to fly.
But since we are and I have held my tongue for a long time I will bend a few more ears.

One to clear the air first.
I don't have anything against colleges, don;t have a political party favorite, nor truly believe in the political system we have now created and don't back any denomination of church.
Colleges have their place and degrees that should be earned, but now where to the levels were are doing today. Some say it makes for a more rounded individual and that is so far from the truth its not funny. Want more ask, I'll be happy to explain.

Next up politics and religion should never be mixed, but today it is heavily. They are 2 systems of beliefs that have no proof that one is better than another and so on and so fourth. Republicans are for the most part Christians and I'm not talking catholic or orthodox.
Democrats are not full fledged Christians and are made up from the rest of the denominations.
SORRY PEOPLE BUT IT DOESN'T MIX and nor should it.

Religion itself has its own struggles with power etc and if you ever took the time to understand the bible and its old testament you'd know it all to well. Want more, ask I'll be happy to go on.

SO now I'll get what does that have to do with the topic at hand.

Well unions are formed to give people support in what they believe are their rights etc.
Government parties also are 2 different beliefs of how democracy is suppose to be and backing one party over another is the same thing.
Then we have religion, a system of beliefs to support people the same way and not one is right nor can it be proved.

Funny how that aall ties together doesn't it?
Every war known to mankind was fought over beliefs.

Now back to the bible again, if you ever read the old testament and really understand it, it was a lesson of common sense for balance for all people.
Then the greeks and first US democracy system allowed people to pick a person to represent them in government so government itself does not set the standards , laws etc all on their own. Everything is done with the support of the majority.

Funny now that we've rewritten the bible (Added new testament), rewritten democracy and rewritten the ethics of preparing for a future so that its suits a few, its not done for all nor a majority and greed/power is its basis for it all to come together, money and power. Now I believe its said that those to traits will equal HELL and all the evil will be created from it.

Armageddon is suppose to be a fight between heaven and hell. The world is consumed with evil and god has had enough and it launches. A number of sources says its 2012, where are we now? Greed and power is at a all time high and people are fighting to gain a position etc and even on these forums where I believe we should be trying to be equals, G BODY LOVERS and nothing more, but thats gone out the windows and we piss moan about the economy etc.

Well, we talk plenty of politics here, and I fail to see why we wouldn't. It is confined to this sub forum only as it was set up for those of us who wanted to, among them two of the moderators. This site is not heavily moderated, and intervention is usually limited to moving threads, eliminating spam, and dealing with overly abusive posters. Part of living in this country is the right to offend or be offended. All we ask here is that people are civil and present their opinion without excessive personal attacks, threats or foul language. In other words, stepping over the line that is obvious to all who are not oblivious to the rules of civility observed by the vast majority of people. That being said, if you feel that someone ever steps over that line, let me or one of the other mods know ( I am one of the mods) . We'll take care of it.

We also have discussions of other cars on this forum too, not just G bodies. They are confined to the General Discussion sub forum though. We welcome anyone who comes here, no matter what they drive or believe. All we ask for is civility.

For the record, I am not saying you should not be allowed to unionize here, just that it should remain a private vote and not made public for all to see. I am a Christian and a Libertarian Conservative, but that does not mean I hate those who are not.
