wow that thing is really cool. im not much for the diesel swap, but i can appreciate the awesome craftsmanship put into a car like that. yaya g bodies are getting popular!!

Diesel and ford 302 are on my top to do list in this world:want to tear a diesel apart for the fun of it (info)and want to build (I hate ford!)a 302,cause i've seen some badass 302s

The biggest negative to a Duramax is the weight. It easily weighs more than a big block Chevy, and I can't imagine trying to go around a corner in a Duramax G body.

The new issue of Hot Rod has a Duramax-powered late 1990s Mustang that ran high 9s during Drag Week AND pulled down 33 MPG.

Not really sure, but I don't think the Duramaxes would weigh too much more than the old (mostly junk) Olds diesels they actually put in the G bodies back in the time. The Duramax block might be heavier, but it has aluminum heads and unit injectors, which would save weight over the Olds diesel iron heads and pump-line-injector setup. Two givens though are the Duramax pumps out a lot more power and torque, and is a lot more reliable.
