The Batt clip side of the cap should be pointing at the brake booster
The rotor ( inside the distributor ) should be pointing at the spark plug wire going to cyl # 1 when the timing mark on the crank lines up with the timing mark on the timing chain cover ( assuming your timing chain is OK )
That should get you in the "ballpark" for getting the car started
well problem now is the belt or bearing/pully sounds like going out belt is very loud.. and on an off while driving voltage is really low , i even put a 100amp alternator that's not very old still has 14.8 when tested.. i'm gonna just put the another belt back on to the condenser i for now cant stand the screeching there alot of cops where i live to
