ive got an 84 regal with a chevy 350 350 trans in it,my trans is acting up it will go into all gears zooms in reverse, but wont shift over in drive wen i punch the gas it just roars, wut can i do to c if i need a new trans or not, please help i wanna burn sum rubber

Sounds like your linkage is out of alignment. Do you have a column or floor shift car? Also, have you checked your fluid level? To do so, have the car warmed up on level ground, car idling and transmission in neutral or park (forget which, but it is stamped on the dipstick). Pull the dipstick for the transmission (at the back by the distributor), wipe it clean, put it back in the tube, seat it all the way down and pull it back up again. Read the dipstick and see where it is at.

no,shifter in floor,i checked the trans fluid and it very dark it looks and feels lik oil hope its not some one told me to change the srceen, and modulator first,im thinking of gettin it rebuilt and call it a day

Inky black fluid usually means the trans is toast. I would price out a few shops and see what they charge for a rebuild. Make sure they give you a rebuilt torque converter too as the old one from a bad transmission should never be reused. The bad fluid and metal in it will contaminate the new transmission and kill it in short order.
