Hi. I sold friend my Corvette C4 1985. And he asking me to send it to him in Vancouver. Does anyone know a good and not expensive company that can do it efficiently and quickly? And what should I do with it before sending it? I will be thenkfull for yur advice.

Welcome! Not sure you can (at least cheaply) ship a car across an international border. As the saying goes you can have good fast and cheap but not all three at the same time.

I can't say that I know much about shipping a car, but I just posted a couple of days ago, two auto transport companies that I have seen recently while out on the road. They are posted in the "resources" section.

Not sure if it would be cheap to transport a car across the border given the current situation with covid. Before sending the car, you must, first of all, take a photo of it so that in case of damage you can prove that it happened during transportation. Put everything of value in the trunk and close it. Check battery power and close all windows. I found an article in which it is written what needs to be done in more detail https://movewheels.com/car-transport-cross-country/ If the carrier is from the USA, be sure to check its license on this site https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/ It will take you a lot of time, perhaps your friend can find a carrier faster in Canada.

Maybe should clarify, just in case. Most everybody who has responded is assuming you mean Vancouver, B.C., but we also have a Vancouver in Washington state, across the river from Portland, OR.
Will that Vette need to go international?

'Does anyone know anything' - doubt it ;/

I looked at buying an El C a few years ago. I could get it shipped from Dallas to SW Georgia for $600.00. There are a lot of haulers for cars. They transport the from manufactures, auctions, people moving and of course selling. It was easy for me to do the research on the net. I used haulers when i was in the car business many times and no incidents. They can help you with logistics.

I have shipped a few cars/trucks for the shop and then one SUV for myself, to be honest the first few weren't too bad. The last one was a bit of a pain because it was a roller so they forced it on someones load and then he didn't want to deliver it when they said. But I would say overall I have had pretty good luck going through Uship to get pricing, it will help if someone is local to where it is getting picked up or if they are getting other vehicles in that area. If you aren't in a rush you can get a better deal because then it will get added to someone doing multiple vehicles.

I’ve used these guys several times for salvage vehicles from out of state. Never international, though I think they will ship international.
