Just wondering if the timing chains/sprockets for Olds small blocks are all the same or not, also depending on if it has a roller drivetrain or not. I wanted to replace the original on a 86' roller VIN Y 307 with a "true roller" for increased durability if possible. Will it still fit under the timing cover? Or will a factory replacement be fine? Any help would be appreciated.

The double roller chain will work fine.
