I got a chance to buy a complete drive line with transmission out of 86SS with 33,000 miles. What is a good price for it? Would I get any benefit performance wise putting it in a 87 El Camino?
Thanks

Good price depends on condition, and if it is really a MCSS trans. If it is a real MCSS trans, it will have a full throttle upshift at 5k instead of the 3k of the standard model, plus it will have firmer shifts and better internals. Look at the aluminum tag on the tailshaft and get the model code off of it. Then you can post it here, or look it up online to see if it is a real SS trans, or just one that happens to be in an SS.
