I'm trying to find out the proper driveshaft angle for my 1980 ElCamino..
have put in a T5 and had to shorten the driveshaft 3" and now at 70 mph I have a viberation i think its the driveshaft angle doing it.. had the driveshaft rebalanced so its not that, any help???

best bet is to check the manual for your car, but i believe it's about 3 degrees. 4 links need much less angle than other suspension setups.

I just finished and starting driving my 83 El Camino today. I did and engine/transmission/rear end swap. When I set up my 9” rear I measured the original drive line angle which turned out to be 0 degrees which is what I welding my axel brackets to duplicate (I picked up a set of adjustable upper control arms so I could adjust it if needed).

At 0 degrees I have no vibration to 90 MPH (as fast as I’ve pushed it so far).

My 80 malibu having same issue 75mph bad vibration. T5 trans 373 gears 26 inch tires. Changed u joints the pinion is o the trans is 0 the shaft is 4.The drive shaft was shortened and balanced but had same vibe before driveshaft mod.
