Dustributor cap modification

I have been looking into modifying a VORTECH distributor cap to mount to an HEI distributor. The reason is, i like the low profile feature and the fact that the terminals correspond with the correct side of the engine (much cleaner look)

So my question is:
Is there an aftermarket company that already makes this :?:
Has anybody attemped this :?:

Corrected caps are out there, not so much in the low profile though, I don't think.
