So Cal
picked up some bucket seats on craigslist for a hundred bucks.. were pretty shabby very sun bleached and the sliders all covered in surface rust but still work they were a burgandy but faded.. so i took the to the local upholtery shop and for them to recover paint plastics and paint sliders and such they want almost 600 bucks.. a lil crazy to me so for now i decided to just dye them myself with the duplicolor fabric spray. i totaly tore them apart and washed and cleaned them still gotta clean up the sliders but here is my progress so far... wata you guys think only cost about 40 bucks to do and a couple hours of my time

Looks pretty good! I did the same thing to a set of Grand Prix seats I snagged up for my Cutlass last year. After maybe six months of use and five months of storage, it is beginning to fade, but they honestly look like a set of old black faded seats rather then a set of tan seats that were painted black. They will likely feel rough and stiff for a week or so but will soften up to the normal fabric softness after some use.

Nice! Im glad this thread came up because im going with Duplicolor for my interior swap. Do you have any tips that you learned along the way? Or was it just a clean and spray process?

yea if you want it to stick its all in the prep.... clean real good gotta make sure this is no dirt and oils on the surface and on the plastic i used a scotch pad to ruff the suface a lil so it would sick... just take ur time and it will come out good
