Hey guys. I was lookin at the one and only time slip for the car today which is at the bottom for my signiture. I realized theres probably quite a bit left in it. After all, it broke in tht one pass n rolled from the 1000 ft. Heck, look at the 60 ft. 2.0? I remember a buddys engine builder came along that day to what his car and he happened to catch my nightmare of a pass. He said the thing dead hooked which it outa.. maybe 320 RWH with a set of very fresh, low tire pressure drag radials. Plus... GBODY!!! I have a stock replacement parts master front and rear shock so when the weight transfered it wasent at all bad and it hooked. After all the weight came off the rear tire, it blew the tires off for the remainder of the 60 feet. I figure, shave four tenths of tht 60ft which correct me if im wrong would be in average ball park range for a gbody? That will boost my E/T at least that much right? Plus im sure itll pick up some on the big end. And also that was with a 3:73 tail gear. Now the turbo buick 8.5 with a 4:10 gear will only pick up on my 60 ft. What do you all think the thing is capable N/A and also its nitrous capabilities with a safe 125 shot!?!

totally need more info, motor setup, stall, trans gears, tire, weight, etc....

with the 60ft the tenths arent direct to et, a better 60' will have a good effect on your et to a point. there is a lot to factor.

According to your 1/8th times that should have been 13.25 pass @103 and you are under 300 bhp, 60's should be about 1.75 . As GhettoRacingKid said the 60ft isn't proportional to ET- spinning can get you in your power band quicker and help ET or it might not, it's a crap shoot. As he also said - need more info

Quarter mile trap speed is usually a great indicator of horsepower to weight ratio. If you know the car's weight (with driver) it should be a straightforward calculation.

Do you think your 98 mph trap was lower than it was supposed to be? much lower?

From what little I know, your launch, traction, reaction time, tires, and all those other variables at the starting line do NOT have a huge effect on your quarter mile trap speed.
