Top pic is what I'm looking at now. Everything is unhooked (all accessories, wiring, cooling system, trans -> engine bolts, ect) except the two mounts and the starter (no reason on this, just left it till now). I've never done a g-body engine swap before (and am in no rush to get this done) so I was just looking for whatever the easier way would be to get the 2 mounts unbolted. All the bolts are really rusted in and nice and tight. Hopefully soaking in PB blaster for a few days will loosen things up.

Anyways, to the picture. "1" are the mount -> block bolts. These seem pretty much unreachable as I couldn't find any socket that could fit in there. "2" I didn't check out too much. Can I just take this main center bolt out and be able to lift the engine? "3" can be done but it's going to be a PITA. There are bolt heads on top which I can get but to get the nuts underneath it's going to be really really tight. Possible to do though.Any help is greatly appriciated!!

If your just doing an engine swap you can pull the main center bolts and pull the engine. I have found it's easier to go underneath and unbolt them and pull up on the engine with a hoist to get the pressure off the bolts and pull them out and then the engine should come right out as long as everything is unbolted. If you need to get the frame mounts off you will need to take your lower control arms and ball joints apart and pull the front springs out to get to the nuts on the backside of the frame mount bolts. There are several other holes in the frame so you can move them, or you can cut them off and weld them on if that's your preference. Good luck! oh yea you can also unbolt the mount from the engine block and pull it that way also but the engine will move once these bolts are removed.

So if I pull that center bolt (Number "2" in my picture) that would be all I needed to pull on each side and the engine is ready to lift out? Sorry not trying to be a pest they're just rusted in there real good so the easier the method the better, it's the last thing I have to do so, I'm ready to get it out 🙂

cant see your pictures, but yes thats all you need to do. take out the long bolts from either side and the motor will be ready to pull out, you can leave the frame side bolted toteh fream and the other side on the motor, just take the bolt out the middle
