So for those that still shop on Ebay here is their new PROTECT THE SELLER SCAM........

I bought a "refurbished" factory GM radio with an AUX port installed in it.

Well the CD player worked great the AUX port worked great but the right side tuner channel was screwed up.

So i contacted the seller and got the typical Ebay scammer seller run around.

Poor communication, No return info..........

Open the claim still no communication....finally get the return label.

Send it back, seller gets the radio back.

Now waiting for the replacement or refund......... and yep none.

So I have the escalate the claim. i do that and leave NEGATIVE feedback.

Two hours later i get the refund and notice the feedback ONCE AGAIN was REMOVED!!!

See here"

So I call Ebay and ask yet again why was the NEGATIVE feedback removed.

They said because the seller took the item back they can protect the seller and removed NEGATIVE feedback.

I then asked so this defective item could have been sold and returned 10 times already and because of your nonsense policy 10 people had to go though this BS

And a crappy seller can continue to sell crap and tie up peoples $$$$ and keep 100% positive feedback?????????

I then asked what the hell is the purpose of the feedback system if you can remove all the negative feedback and if this is how it is now they should just get rid of it.

I know Ebay has gone downhill but this new crap is absolutely ridiculous!

I had the opposite experience. I ordered 4 boxes of microwave fuses. The guy forgot to send them and apologized. No sweat, just get them to me. They come and one box is missing. Try to contact and radio silence. I open a case and all I want is an $8 refund for the missing box. Stupid Fleabay refunds me the whole $32 because the seller forgot to add a tracking number. I try to contact the seller to get him his money he is owed and again-nothing. Oh well.

What aggravates me more is Jegs, Summit, and who knows who else has their store on eBay. Prices are the same as the Jegs, Summit, etc website with free shipping and you still have to pay tax whether eBay or website. So instead of passing the savings on to me for buying directly from them they'd rather pay eBay a commission?

There is just way more going on here than our feeble minds can understand. eBay has them by the balls, just like Walmart's purchasing army. Not to mention that they make a fortune off of the "free shipping" that is rolled into their prices. Go to Jegs or Summit outlet store to get a better price? Nope, I've been to both and price is the same. In other words their "free shipping" is rolled into everything that they sell, no matter how you buy it.

I seldom buy used stuff on eBay because of their protection of deadbeat sellers. It's funny...……….it used to be deadbeat buyers, now it's deadbeat sellers.

Think of it this way, it costs the company close to the same to advertise in a magazine/website or to pay the fee to list on Ebay. If you think that any company doesn't need to advertise they do otherwise they will quickly be forgotten and disappear. The free shipping part has been proven to get people to come to a store/website.

I didn't say that it isn't a good sales pitch, I said it isn't really free shipping when it's rolled into the selling price. I've bought many parts on eBay that were cheaper than Jegs/Summit even though the seller charged shipping. Maybe the average buyer can't do simple math, who knows.

Back to the original argument, eBay does not have a legitimate feedback system like they once did. Still they are the only game in town at this point.

Well then, i have a deal for you! And i promise no scamming. Lol.

Ebay blows goats now-a-days.

As a here & there seller I found I have to add shipping cost into the selling price cause those @$$es charge a 10% fee on shipping cost that they have no involvement in. Can't understand how they charge me for it but yet I have to pay the USPS for the postage & they don't charge me anything extra. The other kick to the nuts from they buyers side they charge sales tax on the same postage the USPS doesn't collect taxes on. A Fleaby tax on a government fee. In reality theu don't care for either side, they just care about they money they make off both.
This sums it up...
