Hello all this isn't a g-body question but I have a aftermarket sub stereo and amp for my 2003 sunfire aka sunflower got it all free and it worked great in my brothers old golf. anyways yesterday my sub stopped working and only works when I slam my trunk but then it goes out again. I checked all the connections and re did the ground. Could it be the amp going?

Probable that it could be a bad solder joint on the PC board inside of the unit itself. You could disassemble the unit and visually inspect the back side of the PCB for 'cold' solder joints. Search the web for a picture of a 'cold' solder joint if you don't know what they look like.
