Something is draining my battery overnight, the battery is brand new. Snooped around and found my dash lights and dome light are both burnt out, so, throw a new fuse in the "dome" slot, and immediately is snaps and fries the fuse. Where do i even start begin to track this problem down? Could it be the light switch itself, or the dimmer accentuator? How can a test things......have meters and test lights.

i had the same problem with blowing fuses. my lightbulb on my heater controls was blown and was causing all the problems. honestly it was weird to me that it could be a blow bulb causing the issues but replace all the blown bulbs and you should be good.

Check the cig lighter's to see if any coins are in the sockets. I have seen that a lot at the shop.

the only real way to find a short it to disconnect the loads, one by one until you stop blowing the fuse. then check the load (dome light receptacle etc) and the wires.

Thanks guys, found two problems and solved......Dome light had shorted out, and yes tc1959, had a cig lighter short as well, not a coin, but a bad wiring job. As soon as i push the lighter in, the fuse popped. So, took the opportunity to put in a USB plug instead of the lighter. All is good. 😀
