engine harness from 79 fit an 82?

I found a 79 gp 301 car.will that engine wiring harness work for my 82?that would make my 455 plug and play saving the time and aggravation of cutting,soldering and shrink tubing my v6 harness.

I would believe its exactly what you need because the '82 harness has the additional CCC wiring and the 301 harness does not. You may want to crossreference the GM pinouts on the wiring harness vs the CCC version because they may have switched a pin out or 3.
