Engine knock on 85 3.8

Recently ive noticed a knock comming from the timing chain cover area on my 85 regal. Any guess on what i might be? are there notorious for any sort of issues? Oil pump? Bearings? balancers?

One of the possibilities is the timing chain. It's stretched, that the tensioner can't take it up, or the plastic gear is self destructing. Another thing they're known for is the front main bearing gets sloppy then the first rod journal starts to starve for oil. Knock knock.
