Engine swap question?

Running into some shorts or something , went for a 4.3 tbi to a carberated 350 350 turbo, keeps draining battery checking fusable links, amd other wires was wondering if i still need the ecm i cut back the wires i didnt need anymore nothing is grounding out ? Anyone run into a problem like this , this isnt the first time ive swaped a engine like this never had problems like this before ? But this is the first tbi ive swaped out .

Just freshened up my sons 305. I tightened up the starter wire on the solenoid as such that the insulator was against the block. It took a couple days to short. A bunch of the typical diagnosis steps got us nothing. After some quiet early sat morn insp, went out and saw the wire, corrected it, problem solved. If you're lucky,.... 8)
