Well i am about almost done with my engine swap. WOO HOO!! I just finished wiring up the TCI lockup kit. I do have a few questions cuz i got a little frustated today! Hopefully i wired up the kit correctly :lol: First ? is about the air filter as the Summit tech told me to order the flat base ,14x3 ,reusable element chrome air filter. I mocked fitted it and it seems to too tall seeing that it is about 2-3 inches taller than master cylinder. It does seem to clear the hei and carb linkage.What kind of air filters do you have? I did have to order a choke kit and a dropped chrome fuel line for my 1405 carb. I also had trouble putting the choke kit and i ended up using my original choke lever shaft. The new shaft didn't have any threads on it. Anybody ever done this conversion and run into any problems???? I read the instructions and had trouble figuring it out .... maybe cuz of the few beers. :shock: Also, the carb has 4 vacuum ports. i need to know what port do i plug the trans kit up to? The big port goes to the pcv valve and the rear for the brake booster right? I know i have to wire the choke kit to a keyed on power source, does the trans kit need to or does it need constant 12 volts???
