i want to put a 350 chevy in my 85 regal t type, it has the turbo 3.8 in it now with 200r4 transmission, if i pull a motor say out of a 97 tahoe, will it just bolt right up to the 200r4 then just get intake, carb and im good to go?

I'm currently rebuilding a 5.7 from my 2000 Chevy express 1500 to put in my 78 cutlass and I know that you will need an inline electric fuel pump and a different distributor. Keep the motor mounts from the tahoe frame and engine.

An 85 GN already has an in-tank electric fuel pump.
The SBC will bolt right up to your 200-4R thanks to the dual pattern bellhousing.
You will need motor and frame mounts from a SBC powered g-body. Truck mounts will cause the engine to sit too high.

the more i read into the swap the more i wanna do it, i just rebuilt the turbo 3.8 i have in car now, took it to maaco and they let it run because battery was dead and they didnt turn on electric fan ( i have a switch) and a hose blew and leaked all the coolant before they noticed. i now have a bad head gasket/cracked head. motor had 2000 miles on it and i dont know how much other damage. im gonna take them to small claims but now that troublesome 3.8 isnt looking as much fun as before. i liked it for the 20mpg and very decent acceleration. i could go 100mph on the freeway without the slightest shake. its a shame. it only took 1800 rpms to stay at 60 mph on the freeway lol

i took the car home and the emergency blinkers were on but not working anymore just click click click. i think they took my car for a joy ride, it overheated because they didnt notice the switch, they turned emergency lights on and drove it back to maacos and made a bogus story. why would a car overheat in a parking lot and you run to turn on emergency lights??? but how to prove in court 🙁

does my ecm control my transmission? how will that work out when i have a non computer carb and distributor

besides maacos being very negligent and ****ing retarded excuse my french, the paint job actually came out way nicer then expected, i had someone else do the body work though

That paint looks pretty good, what level of service did you get? Was that the $249 special or did you have to drop a lot of cash for that?

Why would the battery be dead :?: Why would they let it run to charge it :?: That makes no sense. Even if the battery was dead, you would just have to jump it from another car and it would be good to go :arrow:
