Hello everybody!

Please let me introduce myself to you. I'm a happy owner of a 1978 Pontiac Grand Lemans, torn down and custom rebuild. It was some tough work and I'm not yet done although it is back on the road. If you like to see some pictures of it, you're welcome to have a lookt at it on http://www.arl.lu/index.php?option=...pontiacgrandlemans&catid=25:members&Itemid=29.

I hope to get it touch with more Grand Lemans Owners, as they are pretty rarely seen here in Europe. Other US-models are fare more frequent and popular 😀

Greetings to everybody!

Welcome aboard!
Where in Europe are you from?

Hi there! well, I'm from Luxembourg 🙂 are you from around Europe too? 😀

welcome! the car looks great!

Greetings Ferret! I have a '79 Lemans 2 door project I'm working on right now here in Canada. I thought I was having a hard time finding some of the stuff I need, must be really tough over there. It's a good thing there are so many interchangeable parts through the G body line, my isue was the LeMans specific stuff like interior 1/4 window trim and stuff.

Welcome to the site! The Grand LeMans must be extremely rare in Europe. My first car was a 1978 Grand Lemans.

Hi there ^^ indeed, i haven't seen any other lemans (no matter what generation) on us-car meetings around europe. from time to time there is one or another for sale in the scene magazines, but they are all offered as spare parts for other vehicles, or worse, as a base for stock car races, in the US better known as crash derby 🙁

Thats true, thanks to OPGI it has become a lot easier for interior stuff, but still, the hunt for good original parts is hard. Most of the time I surf on Summit Racing, Year One, Ecklers, OPGI, Classic Industries, etc. searching for parts that might fit. If it comforts you, I have the same issue with the quarter panels and trim right now 😉 but there's help from a board member 😀
