Kind of a stupid question but i was at the junkyard ( a local u-pull-it)and i found a cutlass there and i found its rear bumper cover on the ground next to it,and i picked it up with both hands from one side of the bumper and the other side of the bumper just sagged vertically.I didnt take it because i thought it was beaten to badly. My question is are they that flexible or was this bumper cover destroyed??

Bumper covers are flexible to reduce crash damage and repair costs. Straight from the mold and still warm, they can be similar to a wet noodle. As they age, they will be slightly less flexible depending upon the environment. This should not be a concern. Repair of cuts and gouges is simple with urethane repair kits as sold by NAPA, etc. Finding a better fascia would be cheaper than buying a repair kit. Tears and cuts are the most difficult to repair. Fascias will cut easily.

They are flexible and will also stretch if handled improperly. If you ever need to store one, make sure it is kept level and not stressed or it will stretch and not return back to it's original shape.
