need to get my exhaust replaced would it be best just to go to a local shop and have them fab something duel with flows up? i dont want to get headers just need mid back basically would it sound decent done this way? do the H or X pipes sound better? i know nothing about how these would sound so forgive me. i can tell you how l/t's with o/r H and slp catback sounds on a 3.9L ford though ;-) lol anyway i figured i would put a cam in also bacause i love cams and i cant put a big one on the mustang because of the eaton so i wana nice cam in the olds and there is a good chance that is where i will stop maybe a carb also im not as concerend about power just the sound

What engine do you have? I just ordered a Crane Cam from JEGS part #803901. You can look that number up for the specs. They are getting harder to come by being Crane went under, but I saw that they got bought and are coming back. I was told this cam was a good one for Olds engines. Mine is an Olds 350. This and my headers should wake up the engine nicely.

i have the 307

your motor has a roller cam...and very low compression..meaning a.) a cam is going to be expensive for that engine.. and b.) if you want a rumbley exhaust from a nice cam... your going to get it at the expense of lousy driveability and fuel mileage cause your engine has low compression...

the best solution.. add an exhaust.. or start saving for a 350 or 403 with more compression

really? man that sucks

oh well guess ill stick with just the exhaust i want this car to stay as 100% original as possible

i need a car i can put a big cam in damnit

what is the compression on the 307?
