Hello I have a 1979 Malibu with a replacement Goodwrench 350 and we are putting my dad's 355 in it with a TH350 trans from his Camaro. We are using Hooker Headers part number 2451 longtube headers and they are 1-5/8" diameter tubes. My question is, would the Pypes dual exhaust system made for the G-body with an x-pipe work? Here is the setup I would like to run.

Hooker Black Competition 1-5/8" headers
Iceman dual exhaust crossmember for a TH350 (for now)
Pypes 2.5" dual exhaust with the angled side tips, with mufflers

If anyone has done this or has any input on this let me know.

Thanks,
Eric

Should work fine. You may have to tweak it a little but shouldn't be much of a problem.

Alright cool thanks for the reply. Are the Pypes and Torque Tech exhaust systems pretty much identical in the terms of length? After doing more research on G body forums it seems that Torque Tech is favored over Pypes due to the slip on and go setup and since I don't have a lift for the car it'll probably be easier and more suitable for what me and my dad are going for.
