I was looking on car domain a while back and came across a few g-bodys that were lowered using f- body coil springs from like a z28 or irocz anyone can comfirm that looking for a.cheep way to upgrade my suspension .

Yes they fit got. But you still need to cut them to lower the car.

there are two that people use, the 5662 and the 5660. i used the 5662(iroc and s-10) on my regal and without cutting them they sat too high. the spring rate is higher and the ride is ok, but if i had to do it again i think i would try the 5660(regular and rs? v-8) springs. i am running an all iron lt1 with full a/c and everything. stay away from the 5664(convertible) since they are practically truck springs. i think i trimmed 1/3 a coil off and it is pretty much back in the stock location, but i can't lower it any more or my tires rub the inner fender lip on heavy bounces because i am running wide tires all the way around.

There is also a 5664 spring that was for the F-body convertibles that has a higher spring rate than the 5662's.

F-body front springs:

5662's have a spring rate of 706lb/in.

5664's have a spring rate of 767lb/in.

S-10 Front springs:

5660's have a spring rate of 639lb/in.

But with any of these your still going to need to cut them to get any kind of drop. If your replacing old springs then they will likely raise the front end being your replacing springs that have settled over the years with brand new.

For the rear you can use the CC635 cargo spring for an F-body which doesn't have a double pigtail like the G-body spring. This means that you can trim one end of the spring to get your ride height dialed in.
