I want to make a G-Body FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) sticky which will be a "global" topic, meaning it will show up above the rest of the topics listed in a given category.
To that end, I need knowledge to put in it. If you see the same questions asked again and again, here's your chance to actually set the record straight. Reply to this topic with ONLY the facts, not opinions or secondhand anecdotes. If you need to reference other threads, websites, etc. to do it then great.
With any luck, the topic will help alleviate a lot of the "Oh, look, its this topic again!" criticisms.
Here's some examples of questions that need to be in here, but I'm sure there are more:
8.5" axle: What cars/years/ratios, posi/non-posi
Wheels that fit without modifications: Backspacing, width, diameter
factory engines/wheels/options
sway bars / f-41
Will a BBC/BBB/BBO fit and how?
Manual transmissions
Rare birds: The Mexican Monte SS, 9C1, M-80 Malibu, etc. Again, only facts.
Eventually I would like this to get big enough to open up a wiki for the site (and a specific FAQ section for it), but that entails a lot more detailed info than should go here.
This is not a discussion thread. Post facts only. If it can be argued, then its not a fact. (Unless its a correction or addition.) Again, references help.
Also, If you know of a question that gets asked repeatedly, but don't know the answer, then put it here also so it can be answered definitively.
If it gets too big I can break it up for the different sections of the site.
