FB Marketplace double take

I know, but scrolling through at a quick glance, I was like...whaaaat?

It is a 3rd gen Camaro, though. The 4th gen is giving an illusion of a photobomb. But which car is the guy on the left selling? The Olds or the 1989 Camaro RS?

So this is most likely a false ad, correct?

I've found a crap ton of these lately - deals that are too good to be true, and they aren't true.

The scams on Facebook marketplace are pretty obvious, a price way too good to be true usually only one picture and if you go to the sellers profile they'll have the same ad listed a bunch of times in all different states, if you contact them many have a pre-recorded response to use an email or text to contact them outside of Facebook

I’ve noticed a lot of cars priced way too low. I was wondering what the scam was. I always just skip right over them.

I'm selling my 84 H/O for $1,450. Please contact me off Facebook.

Car is located in SC. And NC. And AZ. And WI. Oh, and VT as well.

🙂

I've petitioned my local politician to start a federal investigation into this - because it's BS and wastes a ton of my time.

Kidding aside, I guess I need to be more of a discerning FB marketplace shopper.

Kind of a bummer though. I remember when the same crap overtook Ebay and made it almost impossible to search for anything that didn't result in more scam listings than listings by 'real' sellers.

I guess I need to get with the times lol.
