I'm new to this forum, however some of you may have seen my posts in the G-body of the month thread recently. I picked up an '87 Regal "T" a few months ago that has the original 307 still in it with 112,000 miles on it. The engine runs good and has had a recent timing chain replacement, among other things. This is a roller cam motor with a factory aluminum intake, etc. I have plans to remove this engine from the car and roll it off into some high weeds - to make way for a Buick mill of the 455 variation. I have thought about selling it on craigslist, or something like that, but I feel like that will end up being more hassle than its worth. I personally do not place much value on this engine, certainly not any more than the jolly old fat lady at the scalehouse would pay me for it anyway. So instead I have come up with an idea - I would be willing to GIVE this complete engine to the member of this forum that could write the most entertaining letter about why he needs this engine worse than the next guy and what he plans to do with it. Additionally, the winner of this little contest will also be obligated to produce an illustrated thread that outlines the installation of this motor into HIS project car.
Anyway, like I said, this thread here is just a feeler for this idea that I have. I'm not giving dibbs to anyone yet and don't get your panties all in a wad about it just yet. Its probably going to be several months (maybe 6 or more) before I'm even ready to yank this thing out.
SO - what say you all?
