CUTLASS Fender well trim length?

Trying to figure this one out. Are the fender trims different lengths based on year for the Cutlass? I have some that fit my 1985 Cutlass Supreme perfect minus the fact they are 2.5" too short closest to the door side for the front and 3" too short closest to the doors side on the rear. We are trying to figure out if there were different lengths by year. As these fit and line up perfectly minus being too short.

The short wheel well moldings are for the BX2 option. L is GM 9637960, R is GM 9637959. Note the molding stops at the bottom of the wide molding.

The long molding is the non BX2 option. L is GM 9637958, R is GM 9637957.

Thanks man! That makes complete sense now. Will be sharing w my engraver and see if he has the longer ones for sure. I couldn't figure it out.
