Today while filling up at the gas station I noticed gas leaking onto the ground, I crawled under the car and gave my fuel tank a visual inspection, the tank it fine but noticed all the gas was coming off the filler neck, after all these years I guess the seals have perished.

I wanted to know exactly how to replace the filler neck......does the whole fuel tank have to be dropped?

Thanks in advance for information guys.

Btw car is a 85 Delta 88 think setup is similar to a cutty

Very little in common between the Delta and the Cutty other than the motor and trans. Regarding the tank, it will need to be dropped for inspection and it will likely easier and safer to replace it. The filler neck is either a pressed fitting or brazed in place when new. The gas tank is prone to rot out at the top and the filler neck as all the road debris tends to settle at the top of the tank and rot it thru.

Good luck.
