So, a month and a half later, I FINALLY received my check from the insurance company for the damage to my Monte Carlo. I got $1094.25 since that is what the body shop quoted. As soon as the check clears, I'm going to get the replacement parts. Not gonna have a body shop do it so I'll have a little cash left over, which will either be used for Christmas presents OR (what I really want to do) the final parts I want to get to finish the Grand Prix's "new" LG4 305.

I hate insurance checks (drafts). Last one I got for my daughters car took almost 10 days to clear. Says alot for insurance companies -- the banks don't even trust them -- LOL
thats weird... when the transmission shop installed my trans and forgot to tighten the lugnuts on my satty causing the drivers side wheel to fall off @ 40mph and shoot me in to on comming traffic, the check was made within 1 hour of the claims adjuster taking photos and then the next day i had an xbox 360, 4 controllers and 5 games. and a green fender lol
