I've been playing with my carb for a few weeks now and I can't seem to get it right. I have a rich idle. I was told to change the idle air bleeds on top of the carb. Problem im having is i dont know which one is for idle. Is it the four outer ones which someone has suggested to me? And could someone tell me the thread count on the air bleeds? I've done research and can't find it out. All the air bleeds I've seen on summit racing cone in different thread counts. Any help is very appreciated.

The bleeds with the larger holes are the idle air bleeds the outer most 4. Personally I wouldn't think that's the problem unless someone has been fooling with them. Your mixture screws are probably out of adjustment. You need to turn them out the same amount each time and only a 1/4 turn at a time. they are very sensitive. Using a vacuum gauge can help, turn them to get max vacuum reading. Turning them out richens them turning in leans the mix. Great tips here also locates the bleeds for you. http://www.aedperformance.com/tuning-tips.html

Thanks for the reply. That site was helpful. I'm still new to the carb. game so I'm a little bit slow on them. Is there any tips you could give me?

Set your transfer slots correctly and dial down the idle mixture screws. Air bleeds should never be touched unless you are on a dyno or have some sensitive datalogging capability. Its extremely fine tuning stuff and likely not the problem.

Heres everything ive learned about a holley carb. Its all a good read. Tuning direction at the bottom.
